A platform where muslims from all over the world can virtually perform umrah on Enaba with the help of trained & professional Umrah performers where they can chat, share the photos & videos and Umrah seeker can request for live stream while performing & many more.

🤨 The Problem

Most of the people don’t have enough money or resources to perform the Umrah rituals.

Every muslim from around the world wants to perform Umrah rituals but don’t have money or other resources to fulfill their wish to come to Makkah & perform this ritual. While there are some individuals who perform this ritual on behalf of other but from no authentic or reliable platform.

⚡️ Pretty Solution

What if users from all over the world can perform Umrah rituals virtually?

So I was sitting on my desk working on some UI completely in my zone & I received an audio. I stop the work i was doing and start listening to the audio. It was 2:37 min audio which was the requirements from the client for this project Enaba. It was to design an experience for a platform where muslims from all over the world can virtually perform umrah. The platform focus was on both mobile & web. My question in return was simple? Do they have any more requirements about the platform & the response was “No they are just looking forward to build a platform for virtual umrah services.” ”A platform where muslims from all over the world can virtually perform umrah with on Enaba with the help of trained & professional Umrah performers where they can chat, share the photos & videos and Umrah seeker can request for live stream while performing.”

👊 So How Might We?

Alright, I got the idea what we are going to create & who we are going to create for, because as a muslim i knew the target audience. First of all I completed the on-going work which i was doing and then allotted time for this to get started with. The meeting was scheduled with the client and the project manager. But before conducting that meeting i had to brainstorm, created a list of some questions just to understand their thoughts about the platform & what they are expecting from this.

😎 My Role

Pulling out the requirements – Connecting with stakeholders to understand the business goals & their vision.
Empathize with number of targeted users to understand the gain & pain points.
More to dive in deep I did competitor & market research to help me clarify more about the product & its impact.
Conducting surveys through google forms & interviews via meet or 1-1 to get more insights about our users.
Analyze & Brainstorm the collected points & insights from empathizing with users to find solutions & create user flows.
Sketching different ideas to find more suitable yet accessible approach to get the work done.
Based on the sketches creating Hi-Fi prototypes to present to the client & iterate based on the user feedback.
Testing though clickable prototypes to help business understand the flow and steps for different activities & users to give their clear & to the point opinion about every step.
Based on testing the prototypes iterate the solution until reach the thumbs up point.
Design guide for dev team to give them what they need to proceed.

🤝 The Kick-off Meeting

The meeting overall was a success we got to understand their thoughts & what they wanted to see in the platform. By asking my questions & they describing what is their motivation behind this platform, we found out a list of goals they need to have in this platform.

Below are some of them.

There will be two types of users. (We named them Umrah Seeker & Umrah Performer)
The Seeker can be from anywhere in the world.
The Performer will only be a Saudi & certified by Enabatalmanasek (Short Enaba)
The Seeker can perform Umrah on his/her behalf or any other person, which can be the parents, sister, relative, friend etc.
The Seeker can select two dates & times to perform Umrah between that.
Enaba (the company) will play a major role in here. They will assign the Umrah Performer to that seeker’s request when the Umrah request is accepted by performer.
The Seeker will be able to see the Performer’s profile with all the information he/she needs to know.
There will be a proper chat between the Seeker & the Performer.
When the Performer starts the Umrah, Seeker will be able to request for Live stream.
The Performer will be able to share Photos & Videos with the Seeker through out the ritual.

& many more.

💻 Desk Research

Since I am a muslim i am mostly familiar with the ritual & what will be the user looking for in the platform, but that that doesn’t mean i should just relay on what i am thinking & start designing the experience.

Understanding the user is most important & vital for any product’s success.

At first i sat down and conducted a desk research. I started looking around the internet to collect anything i can get related to virtual Umrah. From reading some crafted articles to sweeping different websites.

Any extra features you have i mind to help you perform Umrah virtually with ease & satisfaction.

Beside this i conducted some 1-1 interviews mostly around me. Which also gave us more insights to what the user think, feel and need.

🧐 Brainstorming

Connecting with different users gave us the information which we needed & through which we can now get on with the question, how we are going to proceed forward. During this I analyzed the feedback which we got from the surveys & interviews.
